Georgia Gynecologic Oncology is an integral part of the Northside Hospital Cancer Institute (NHCI) Gynecologic Cancer Program, which is a high-volume center for the diagnosis and/or treatment of gynecologic cancers. As such, you, our patient, benefits from the combined expertise of Georgia’s largest network of cancer specialists and access to groundbreaking clinical trials and the most advanced gynecologic cancer treatments available including chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
Dr. Stephen Salmieri, Dr. Rachel Brightwell and Dr. Naixin Zhang are also part of the NHCI Gynecologic Cancer Program's multidisciplinary team of gynecologic oncology specialists, who are all expertly trained in GYN cancer patient care. The team meets each week at a multidisciplinary conference to review radiology and pathology images and discuss the best cancer treatment options, including clinical trials, and develop an evidence-based treatment plan for each patient. By prospectively discussing cancer cases during these meetings, you and other GYN patients get the benefit of more than a dozen expert medical opinions.
